Half-time: 4 rounds are played - 3 more to play. Everything is still open. In the next rounds the overall winner and the winners in the different categories will be determined.

 

Andrei Obodchuk und Piotr DukaczewskiAt board 1 (table 10) played IM Andrei Obodschuk (Russia IPCA) and IM Piotr Dukaczewski (Poland IBCA) – which was the top pairing. The favorite Obodchuk won. Now he is the only player who won all four games.

IM Iuri Meshkov (Russia IPCA) and Mohammadreza Ghadimi (Germany ICCD) , both with 3 points, played remis.

The most successful woman is Yulia Turkeeva (Russia ICCD II). She lost against IM Dimitrj Scerbin (Russia IPCA), who is number 3 in the ranking list.

 

 

Raphael Zimmer

The youngest participant in this World Championship, Raphael Zimmer, played a great tournament. Although he is number 63 in the ranking list, he was part of the top pairings due to his good performance. Today he played live at table 4. Unfortunately,he could not keep his good performance and lost against Jerzy Strzelecki (Poland ICCD).

The oldest participant in this World Championship is Viktor Strekalovski (IPCA Russia), who was born in 1932. He won against Falk Zimmermann (Germany IBCA).
